Controlled by the engine ECU, the idle stepper motor opens a bypass around the throttle plate and keeps idle speed steady whatever the load, for example when the air conditioning or headlights are switched on. Once it gets dirty or fails, the idle hunts, sits too high, or the engine stalls when you come to a stop and lift off the throttle.

These motors differ in connector, plunger length and the way they bolt to the throttle body, so compare the OE number on the housing and the engine code. If you are unsure, we can confirm the fit by VIN. Clean the bypass channel in the throttle body before fitting.

Used stepper motors come with a 60-day start-up (functional) warranty and 60 days to return them. Orders placed on working days go out within 24 hours.
